  • Are you worried about the daily needs of life.?

  • Are you anxious and without peace?

Bible Gives Answers:

Jesus taught

"No one can serve two masters. He will hate the first master and love the second, or he will be devoted to the first and despise the second. You cannot serve God and wealth. "So I tell you to stop worrying about what you will eat, drink, or wear. Isn't life more than food and the body more than clothes? "Look at the birds. They don't plant, harvest, or gather the harvest into barns. Yet, your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you worth more than they? "Can any of you add a single hour to your life by worrying? "And why worry about clothes? Notice how the flowers grow in the field. They never work or spin yarn for clothes. But I say that not even Solomon in all his majesty was dressed like one of these flowers. That's the way God clothes the grass in the field. Today it's alive, and tomorrow it's thrown into an incinerator. So how much more will he clothe you people who have so little faith? "Don't ever worry and say, 'What are we going to eat?' or 'What are we going to drink?' or 'What are we going to wear?' Everyone is concerned about these things, and your heavenly Father certainly knows you need all of them. But first, be concerned about his kingdom and what has his approval. Then all these things will be provided for you. "So don't ever worry about tomorrow. After all, tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:24-34)

Put your Trust in God and not in riches
Don't love money. Be happy with what you have because God has said, "I will never abandon you or leave you." So we can confidently say, "The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can mortals do to me?" (Hebrews 13:5-6)

Jesus reasons with you
What good will it do for people to win the whole world and lose their lives? Or what will a person give in exchange for life? The Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father's glory. Then he will pay back each person based on what that person has done. (Matthew 16:26-27)

Is it worth following Jesus?
And the one overcoming, and the one keeping My works until the end, "I will give to him authority over the nations," (Revelation 2:26)

He will give everlasting life to those who search for glory, honor, and immortality by persisting in doing what is good. But he will bring anger and fury on those who, in selfish pride, refuse to believe the truth and who follow what is wrong. (Romans 2:7-8)

Are you afraid of ghosts, mediums, and spirits?
  • Having sleepless Nights?
  • Have you hear strange and frightening stories
  • Have you experienced strange things

Read this section on some of the fundamental truths of life and observed in nature and testified by science against obscure beliefs, superstitions and deceptions down through the ages in various cultures including Christianity

Bible Gives Answers:

Firstly, the bible says it is wrong to turn to mediums
"Don't turn to psychics or mediums to get help. That will make you unclean. I am the LORD your God. (Leviticus 19:31)

Secondly, it is an unwise thing to ask the dead for help
People will say to you, "Ask for help from the mediums and the fortunetellers, who whisper and mutter." Shouldn't people ask their God for help instead? Why should they ask the dead to help the living? (Isaiah 8:19)

Thirdly, We don’t turn into ghosts after death

“This is the tragedy of everything that happens under the sun: Everyone shares the same destiny. Moreover, the hearts of mortals are full of evil. Madness is in their hearts while they are still alive. After that, they join the dead. But all who are among the living have hope, because a living dog is better than a dead lion. The living know that they will die, but the dead don't know anything. There is no more reward for the dead when the memory of them has faded. Their love, their hate, and their passions have already vanished. They will never again take part in anything that happens under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 9:3-6)

Lastly, we are just like animals that perish. When it comes to life and death we have no advantage
“Humans and animals have the same destiny. One dies just like the other. All of them have the same breath of life. Humans have no advantage over animals. All of life is pointless. All life goes to the same place. All life comes from the ground, and all of it goes back to the ground. Who knows whether a human spirit goes upward or whether an animal spirit goes downward to the earth?” (Ecclesiastes 3:19-21)

Bible Gives Answers:

The human state is fallible. No human is superior when it comes to life and death. The end of all is death
"All people are like grass, and all their beauty is like a flower of the field. The grass dries up and the flower drops off, but the word of the Lord lasts forever." This word is the Good News that was told to you. (1 Peter 1:24-25)

God does not show partiality. All are equal in his sight and all have sinned through disobedience.
Certainly, there is no one so righteous on earth that he always does what is good and never sins. (Ecclesiastes 7:20)

If we say, "We aren't sinful" we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. God is faithful and reliable. If we confess our sins, he forgives them and cleanses us from everything we've done wrong. If we say, "We have never sinned," we turn God into a liar and his Word is not in us. (1 John 1:8-10)

Deliverance from sin comes because of God’s mercy and not that we can do anything. The love of God is expressed through his love and mercy he shows like how a father would pity his son

The LORD is compassionate, merciful, patient, and always ready to forgive. He will not always accuse us of wrong or be angry with us forever. He has not treated us as we deserve for our sins or paid us back for our wrongs. As high as the heavens are above the earth- that is how vast his mercy is toward those who fear him. As far as the east is from the west- that is how far he has removed our rebellious acts from himself. As a father has compassion for his children, so the LORD has compassion for those who fear him. He certainly knows what we are made of. He bears in mind that we are dust. (Psalms 103:8-14)

When God forgives you are forgiven in the absolute sense. Your past will be wiped clean No need to worry about any past sins any more.
"Come on now, let's discuss this!" says the LORD. "Though your sins are bright red, they will become as white as snow. Though they are dark red, they will become as white as wool.
(Isaiah 1:18)

As far as the east is from the west- that is how far he has removed our rebellious acts from himself. (Psalms 103:12)

Will there be an end to wars?
Even in the developed civilization of the 21st Century we still have animal instincts and ready to shed blood through violence, wars, hatred, communal clashes, political disorder, etc.
Peace for many today is a fantasy.
The bible gives hope for this world. Down through the ages faithful men have looked forward to this new world order with God’s own government setup.

Though human endeavors may fail a time is soon coming when God’s Kingdom will be established on Earth

Bible Gives Answers:
Weapons of Mass Destruction will be turned to Mass Agricultural produce
Then he will judge disputes between nations and settle arguments between many people. They will hammer their swords into plowblades and their spears into pruning shears. Nations will never fight against each other, and they will never train for war again.  (Isaiah 2:4)

A new world order
The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him- the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of advice and power, the Spirit of knowledge and fear of the LORD. He will gladly bear the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what his eyes see or decide by what his ears hear, He will judge the poor justly. He will make fair decisions for the humble people on earth. He will strike the earth with a rod from his mouth. He will kill the wicked with the breath from his lips. Justice will be the belt around his waist. Faithfulness will be the belt around his hips. (Isaiah 11:2-5)

Perfect Health and prosperity
There will no longer be an infant who lives for only a few days or an old man who doesn't live a long life. Whoever lives to be a hundred years old will be thought of as young. Whoever dies before he is a hundred years old will be cursed as a sinner. (Isaiah 65:20)

There will be peace. People will not fear anymore
They will build houses and live there. They will plant vineyards and eat fruit from them. They will not build homes and have others live there. They will not plant and have others eat from it. My people will live as long as trees, and my chosen ones will enjoy what they've done. They will never again work for nothing. They will never again give birth to children who die young, because they will be offspring blessed by the LORD. The LORD will bless their descendants as well. (Isaiah 65:21-23)

Death is inescapable

Different cultures and religions all have stories and beliefs of what happens to the “soul” after the body dies.

Its hard for the human mind to console the anguish over a lost soul even if our beliefs tell us that the soul is somewhere in bliss

All religions seem to contract science when it comes to soul - the invisible organ of the human body

  • What does the bible have to say about this?
  • Does the bible contradict science when it talks about soul? What is bible definition of Soul
  • As age grips you do you fear death more and more
  • Will the dead ever come back to life? What is the resurrection of the dead?
  • What happens to the wicked people? Do they have the same end as the righteous people?

Bible Gives Answers:

No escape from death
No one has the power to prevent the spirit of life from leaving. No one has control over the day of his own death. There is no way to avoid the war against death. Wickedness will not save wicked people from dying. (Ecclesiastes 8:8)

The Mystery of Life:

Our bodies decay and the life in us goes back to the creator. There is no scope for a “soul” to go anywhere Our bodies return to the earth, and the life-giving breath returns to God. (Ecclesiastes 12:7)

Adam the first creation was told that he will return to dust – He was not to be reborn, He was not to go to Heaven or Hell

By the sweat of your brow, you will produce food to eat until you return to the ground, because you were taken from it. You are dust, and you will return to dust." (Genesis 3:19)

What is the biblical definition of soul?
We turn to the creation details of the first man where we find that on receiving life from God he becomes a living “soul”. In like manner when the life breath is gone the “living” soul will turn to a dead soul. In fact the original Hebrew word is “nephesh” and is also translated as life, body, mind, person, heart, self, etc. More precisely body + life = soul.  “And the LORD formed the man out of dust from the ground, and blew into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Genesis 2:7)

King David who was very close to God knew the fragile state of his body and soul
LORD is gracious and righteous; yea, our God is merciful. LORD watches over the simple; I was low, but He saved me. Return to your rest, O soul; for the LORD has blessed you. For You have delivered my soul from death, my eye from tears, my feet from stumbling. (Psalms 116:5-8)

Eternal Life - reward for the faithful
If death is the end of all things and the soul also ceases to exist after death I there anything beyond death? The prophecy of the prophet Daniel reveals there will be a resurrection of the dead i.e. the dead will come back to life one day
And at that time, Michael shall stand up, the great ruler who stands for the sons of your people. And there shall be a time of distress, such as has not been from the being of a nation until that time. And at that time, your people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the Book. And many of those sleeping in the earth's dust shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to reproaches and to everlasting abhorrence. (Daniel 12:1-2)

Jesus was the first to be raised to immortal life. His soul or body was laid in tomb and after 3 days God raised him up according to this quote from the Old Testament given by King David:
For You will not leave My soul in Sheol (grave); You will not give Your Holy One to see corruption. (Psalms 16:10)

Jesus will soon judge the whole world
“He set a day in which "He is going to judge the habitable world in righteousness," by a Man whom He appointed; having given proof to all by raising Him from the dead.” (Acts 17:31) For we all must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive the things done through the body, according to what he did, whether good or bad. (2 Corinthians 5:10)

The Wicked will be punished and destroyed
By God's word, the present heaven and earth are designated to be burned. They are being kept until the day ungodly people will be judged and destroyed. Dear friends, don't ignore this fact: One day with the Lord is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day. The Lord isn't slow to do what he promised, as some people think. Rather, he is patient for your sake. He doesn't want to destroy anyone but wants all people to have an opportunity to turn to him and change the way they think and act. The day of the Lord will come like a thief. On that day heaven will pass away with a roaring sound. Everything that makes up the universe will burn and be destroyed. The earth and everything that people have done on it will be exposed. All these things will be destroyed in this way. So think of the kind of holy and godly lives you must live as you look forward to the day of God and eagerly wait for it to come. When that day comes, heaven will be on fire and will be destroyed. Everything that makes up the universe will burn and melt. But we look forward to what God has promised-a new heaven and a new earth-a place where everything that has God's approval lives. Therefore, dear friends, with this to look forward to, make every effort to have him find you at peace, without spiritual stains or blemishes. (2 Peter 3:7-14)

Are you locked in Superstition?
  • Are you spending time and effort on things you fear?
  • Are you being blind to reason?
  • Is your neighbor leading a happy life free of superstitions?
  • How come people in other countries lead a good life with no knowledge of your superstition
  • Do you desire a way out?

Bible Gives Answers:
Fear only God
This is what the LORD said with his powerful hand on me. He warned me not to follow the ways of these people: "Don't say that everything these people call a conspiracy is a conspiracy. Don't fear what they fear. Don't let it terrify you." Remember that the LORD of Armies is holy. He is the one you should fear and the one you should be terrified of. (Isaiah 8:11-13)

There is only one God who declares the end from the beginning
Remember the first events, because I am God, and there is no other. I am God, and there's no one like me. From the beginning I revealed the end. From long ago I told you things that had not yet happened, saying, "My plan will stand, and I'll do everything I intended to do." (Isaiah 46:10)

The created things have been provided for the benefit of all and not designed to harm or be a source of superstition
Don't let yourselves be tempted to worship and serve what you see in the sky-the sun, the moon, the stars, or anything else. The LORD your God has given them to all people everywhere. (Deuteronomy 4:19)

Do not give attention to astrology, times, seasons, fortune telling, etc because all of it is only in the mind and make people weak. Put your trust and hope in God who has created all things. God told the Israelites before they entered the promised land to Not to be like the people living in that land before them but to be rational and be wise
You shall be perfect with the LORD your God. For these nations whom you shall expel listen to observers of clouds, and to those divining. But as to you, the LORD your God has not given to you to do so. The LORD your God shall raise up to you a prophet [speaking of Jesus prophetically] from among you, of your brothers, one like me; you shall listen to him (Deuteronomy 18:13-15)

No meaning in worshipping man made things
The God who made the universe and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth. He doesn't live in shrines made by humans, and he isn't served by humans as if he needed anything. He gives everyone life, breath, and everything they have. From one man he has made every nation of humanity to live all over the earth. He has given them the seasons of the year and the boundaries within which to live. He has done this so that they would look for God, somehow reach for him, and find him. In fact, he is never far from any one of us. Certainly, we live, move, and exist because of him. As some of your poets have said, 'We are God's children.' So if we are God's children, we shouldn't think that the divine being is like an image made from gold, silver, or stone, an image that is the product of human imagination and skill. "God overlooked the times when people didn't know any better. But now he commands everyone everywhere to turn to him and change the way they think and act. He has set a day when he is going to judge the world with justice, and he will use a man he has appointed to do this. God has given proof to everyone that he will do this by bringing that man back to life." (Acts 17:24-31)

Diseases & Distress?

Life is a mix of joy and sorrow. Some have more joy than others. Life also posses lots of difficulties and sorrows for some.

  • Does the bible deal with this subject?
  • Is there a global solution to end human tragedies?
  • Is there hope now?

Bible Gives Answers:

God is the creator of all things
In the beginning God created heaven and earth. (Genesis 1:1)

Once when God commissioned Moses to speak to the Pharaoh of Egypt
Moses said to the LORD, "Please, Lord, I'm not a good speaker. I've never been a good speaker, and I'm not now, even though you've spoken to me. I speak slowly, and I become tongue-tied easily." The LORD asked him, "Who gave humans their mouths? Who makes humans unable to talk or hear? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? It is I, the LORD! (Exodus 4:10-11)

Jesus was commissioned by the power of the Spirit of God to provide a healing touch
"The Spirit of the Lord is with me. He has anointed me to tell the Good News to the poor. He has sent me to announce forgiveness to the prisoners of sin and the restoring of sight to the blind, to forgive those who have been shattered by sin, to announce the year of the Lord's favor." (Luke 4:18-19)

Blind people see again, lame people are walking, those with skin diseases are made clean, deaf people hear again, dead people are brought back to life, and poor people hear the Good News. (Matthew 11:5)

Even the righteous people are give trials and tribulations for their own good, because whom God loves he corrects and disciplines.
My brothers and sisters, be very happy when you are tested in different ways. You know that such testing of your faith produces endurance. Endure until your testing is over. Then you will be mature and complete, and you won't need anything. (James 1:2-4)

You are extremely happy about these things, even though you have to suffer different kinds of trouble for a little while now. The purpose of these troubles is to test your faith as fire tests how genuine gold is. Your faith is more precious than gold, and by passing the test, it gives praise, glory, and honor to God. This will happen when Jesus Christ appears again. (1 Peter 1:6-7)

There is victory now. Love is what drives such a victory in the present suffering.
Who will accuse those whom God has chosen? God has approved of them. Who will condemn them? Christ has died, and more importantly, he was brought back to life. Christ has the highest position in heaven. Christ also intercedes for us. What will separate us from the love Christ has for us? Can trouble, distress, persecution, hunger, nakedness, danger, or violent death separate us from his love? As Scripture says: "We are being killed all day long because of you. We are thought of as sheep to be slaughtered." The one who loves us gives us an overwhelming victory in all these difficulties. I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love which Christ Jesus our Lord shows us. We can't be separated by death or life, by angels or rulers, by anything in the present or anything in the future, by forces or powers in the world above or in the world below, or by anything else in creation. (Romans 8:33-39)

The future glory is far greater than the present suffering.
I consider our present sufferings insignificant compared to the glory that will soon be revealed to us. (Romans 8:18)

There is also be global solution to the suffering in this world when God through Jesus will set up a Kingdom that will not be built with human hands and will stand for ever
I will create a new heaven and a new earth. Past things will not be remembered. They will not come to mind…There will no longer be an infant who lives for only a few days or an old man who doesn't live a long life. Whoever lives to be a hundred years old will be thought of as young. Whoever dies before he is a hundred years old will be cursed as a sinner. (Isaiah 65:17-25)

The last book of the bible reveals God’s ultimate plan

I saw a new heaven and a new earth, because the first heaven and earth had disappeared, and the sea was gone. Then I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, dressed like a bride ready for her husband. I heard a loud voice from the throne say, "God lives with humans! God will make his home with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There won't be any more death. There won't be any grief, crying, or pain, because the first things have disappeared" (Revelation 21:1-4)
